Recently Govt. of India under the leadership of Mr. Modi passed a bill in both the houses of parliament to provide reservation to economically weaker section of the general category of the society. Govt is claiming that it is a affirmative action to uplift the economically weaker section . But in doing so they have intentionally avoided the verdict of supreme court in Indra Sahnewy vs Union of India case, in which court had specifically mentioned that reservation should be on minority of seat otherwise it became the reverse discrimination.
In my view it is not just the reverse discrimination ,it is typical case of exclusion of so called privileged group of the society.Until now when only 50 % seats are reserved , reservation is a affirmative action to uplift the underprivileged group ,but now when it cross the 50% mark ,it became a negative action to exclude the privileged group of the society since it opens the door for 100% reservation.
This decision not only exclusive in nature but it will also increase the distance and promote hatred among the different communities of the society which is just opposite the ideology of RSS(mother organisation of BJP) which believes in national unity, hindu unity ,akhand bharat.
This decision has also open the door for religion based reservation and as we know from the history that how religion based reservation had ultimately leads to the partition of the country.
A Party which claimed itself as a nationali betrayed the nation just for the electoral gain. They get trapped in the radical ideology of caste based parties like BSP,SP,RJD etc.
Mr. Modi and his govt has done a blunder just for the electoral gain .It was not expected from him that he will take such a decision which has the potential to destroy the whole Nation.
